John Everett Orton was born on Feb. 13, 1928 and died on Nov. 14, 2020, at the age of 92, he is the son of the late Audie and Molly Fuller Orton. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Mathis Orton, brother, Robert Orton, sisters, Ann Orton, Elsie Hoover, and Betty Jean Graham. 

He is survived by his son, Mike (Dawn) Orton, daughter, Cindy Jarrell, sisters, Wilma (Jimmy) Mathis, and Delphia Orton, grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Orton, Kayla Orton, and Jonathan Jarrell, great-grandchildren, Brodie and Brantley Orton.

Visitation will be 16 November 2020 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM  at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  The Funeral will be 17 November 2020 at 10:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Burial will be in Totty’s Bend Cemetery, Duck River, TN.
