O’Guin, Mildred Laverne
Mildred Laverne O’Guin was born October 13, 1924, to the late Mamie Hudgins Springer and Iverson Springer. She passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 96. She was a member of the Coble Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Laverne is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years of marriage, A. P. O’Guin, sisters Ruth Skelton, Rebecca Floyd, and Martha Emma McNabb, brother Batton Springer, son Donny O’Guin, and granddaughter Amanda Gilbert.
She is survived by brother Hezekiah Springer, sister Juanita Garner, daughters Linda (J.T.) Wright, Patricia (Neal) Gilbert, Cheryl (David deceased) McNabb, and Myra (Mark) Johnston, son Derrel (Charlotte) O’Guin, as well as 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held with the family in the coming days. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
