Mrs. Melba Ogg of Hohenwald, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 91. Melba was born in Hohenwald on December 15, 1930, to Alfred B Hinson and Earline M (Blackwell) Hinson. She married Bufford Ogg and together they raised a family. Melba retired from H.I.S. after thirty-nine years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her children and especially her grandchildren. Above all, she was a child of God and a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Hohenwald.

Melba is survived by her sons, Danny (Tammy) Ogg of Hohenwald, TN, Jerry (Jean) Ogg of Columbia, TN, daughters, Donetta (Ronnie) Carroll of Hohenwald, TN, Monette King of Hohenwald, TN, sister, Imogene Kirk of Southhaven, MS, and brother, Oscar Hinson of Security, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Garrett (Vanessa) Ogg, Karsynn (Dustin) Rowell, and great grandchildren, Alexis Rowell, Lily Rowell, and Tidus Rowell.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Bobby Ogg, and daughters, Brenda Ogg Sandefor, Peggy Ogg Pogue, and Karen Ogg.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Webb & Donald Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodman Hinson Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 PM also on Sunday and continue until service time.
