Norman, Jonathan D
Jonathan Daniel Norman, age 43, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Born on October 21, 1980, in Columbia, Jonathan was the son of Robert and Dianne Buford Norman. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, he dedicated thirteen years of his professional life as an operations manager for United Waste Haulers Recycling in Mt. Pleasant before his health began to decline. A true outdoorsman, Jonathan found joy in hunting and fishing, but his ultimate passion was racing at Thunder Hill Raceway in Summertown and Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald. Many will remember his frequented quote, “Are my hood pins in?” which he always asked his wife before every race.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brandy Nelson Norman of Mt. Pleasant, daughter, Kaylee (affectionately known by him as “Monkey”) Nichols of Mt. Pleasant, brother, Keith (Kristi) Norman of Westmoreland, sister, Ginger (Ricky) Cothran of Mt. Pleasant, nieces, Kaitlyn (Michael) Evans, Bayleigh Norman, Sarah Grace Norman, aunt, Judy Beard, grandmother in law, Clara Mae Malugin, and special family friends, Dodd and Judy Garrett and Carla Turner Emmitt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Norman, Frank and Alvin Buford, and father in law, Ricky Nelson.
The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
