Nix, Wanda Faye Crowe
Wanda Faye Crowe Nix, 75, lifelong resident of Columbia, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Eric Swann officiating. Burial was followed in Polk Memorial Gardens.

Wanda was born on May 14, 1949 in Maury County to the late Claude Ray Crowe and the late Joyce Lois Morton Crowe. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1967 and later that year she married Glenn Delton Nix on September 15, 1967. Wanda was a retired dental assistant for Dr. David Williams for many years and was a former member of First Church of the Nazarene. She along with her husband enjoyed camping and was a member of The Corvette Club.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years Glenn Delton Nix of Columbia; two daughters, Shelley Nix Hinson (Dale) of Hohenwald and Shannon Nix Masterson (Lee) of Franklin; two sisters, Debbie Crowe Massey (John) of Columbia and Starling Crowe Swann (Doug) of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Colby Masterson (Angela), Parker Hardaway (Justin), Julianna Masterson, Corbin Davis (Jacob) and Chandler Hinson (Raelynne); one great grandchild Birdie Rae Davis; uncle John Morton; nephews and nieces, Ryan Massey (Angie), Corey Massey (Marisa), Eric Swann (Molly) and Bailey Rose (Will).
Pallbearers will be Justin Hardaway, Jacob Davis, Dale Hinson, Lee Masterson, Chandler Hinson, Colby Masterson and Dr. David Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be former coworkers at Dr. David Williams’s dental office, staff of NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care, and her devoted sitters Beth Kirby, Yulette Sparkman, Valerie Gant and Helen Sanders.
