Mary Nell Nickell was born on November 21, 1920, in the Beaverdam area of Hickman County, and passed away on January 9, 2019, in Centerville at the age of 98. She was the daughter of the late Robert Percy Malugin and Nancy “Nannie” Pearl Harrison Malugin.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Nickell; son, Randy (Robyn) Nickell; daughter, Barbara Bates; grandson,  Kirk Albright; brother,  Hayes and wife Wilma Malugin; sister, Emma Jean and husband Don Bratton.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Albright of Jackson, TN, Sue (Richard) Crooks of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and son, Larry (Sandy) Nickell of Centerville, sister Ellen (and the late Buddy) Amacher of Hohenwald, brother, Glen (Shirley) Malugin of Nashville. thirteen grandchildren. fourteen great-grandchildren along with a whole host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Mrs. Nickell was a member of the Shipps Bend United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Hickman County High School.

Visitation will be 13 Jan 2019, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held 13 Jan 2019 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County. Burial will be at Charles L Nickell Memorial Park Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
