Diana Susan Neely, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, was born February 4, 1954, in Taylor, Michigan, and died at her home on December 13, 2022. She was 68 years old.

She was the daughter of the late James David Whitwell and Elma Erleen Churchwell Whitwell.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Neely was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Buddy” Neely, her son, Matthew Thomas Varley, and her sister, Patricia Ann Whitwell.

Mrs. Neely is survived by her son, Michael Varley of Old Hickory, grandchildren, Brandy Oneal, Bryan Williams, Joshua Varley, Jacob Varley, and Jackson Eli Varley and two great-grandchildren, Tucker and Oakley Oneal. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin David Whitwell of Graysville, Tennessee.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 17, 2022, at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. . Graveside services will follow at Memory Gardens at 2:00 p.m. Bill McDonald will officiate the service.
