Died Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Neese Chappell of Hermitage; one son, Robert Lee Frogue of Hohenwald; two daughters, Diane and Kay Frogue, both of Hohenwald. Also two half brothers, James Wendell Chappell of Richmond, Virginia and Thomas Guy Chappell of Houston Texas; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Frogue was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Elizabeth Kistler Frogue and his father, Jesse Bransford Frogue Sr. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. In 1951 he graduated from Isaac Litton High School. He was a retired employee of Ryder truck lines have served as transportation manager. Funeral services will be conducted graveside on Tuesday December 4, 2001, 2:00PM at Swiss Cemetery in Hohenwald with William S. Campbell officiating.

Died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at ECM Hospital in Florence, AL after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alton D. (Bud) Rainey of Killen, AL; her parents, Sherrel and Mable Lynch O’Guin; one sister, Eliese Skelton; two nephews, Greg Hankins and Steve Skelton; two nieces, Connie Skelton Cannon and Tammy Hankins Young; five great-nephews, Brian Young, Joel and Alan Cannon, Rob and Mark Skelton; one great-niece, Meagan Young, all of Hohenwald. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Mike O’Guin and one sister, Shirley Hankins and a special brother-in-law, Tommy Joe Skelton. She is also survived by and will be sadly missed by her Rainey family, Dorothy Rainey Patterson, Edna (Fred) Hickerson, Joe, Jimmy and Dale Rainey and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rainey graduated from Lewis County High School in 1957. She and Mr. Rainey made their home in Cortland, OH until they retired from General Motors in 1992. They then retired to their home on Wilson Lake near Killen, AL. Mrs. Rainey had a zest for living, enjoying her family, her friends, her church, traveling and enjoyed being a Mary Kay Consultant until the time of her death. Mrs. Rainey was an active member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ near her home. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home, with Jerry Durham officiating. Died at his home of an apparent heart attack on Tuesday, September 18, 2001. He was a native of Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Lee Grady and Ara Rasbury Skelton. He attended Lewis County High School and was a Veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the United States Navy. He had been supervisor at H.I.S. garment plant, manager of Lewis Farmers Co-op and Vice President of Hohenwald Bank and Trust Company as well as welding instructor at Hohenwald Area Vocational School. He served Lewis County for a number of years in various capacities, among them, County Commissioner as Chairmen pro-tem, Lewis County Soil Conservation Board, Lewis County Farm Bureau, Hohenwald Housing Authority and was currently serving on the Lewis County Board of Education. Mr. Skelton was a member of the Kimmins Church of Christ, currently serving as treasurer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eliese O’Guin Skelton; a daughter, Connie (Ed) Cannon; a son, Steve (Denise) Skelton; four grandsons, Joel and Alan Cannon, Rob and Mark Skelton, all of Hohenwald. He leaves three brothers, Bobby and Billy Skelton of Hohenwald and Donald Skelton of Waynesboro; two sisters, Lee Grinder of Hohenwald and Norma Dabbs of Thompson Station; also, several nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Mitchell Skelton of Lobelville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Jerry Durham and Bill Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the O’Guin Cemetery.
