Nash, Fronia Rebecca
Fronia Rebecca Nash, a long-time resident of the Pinewood Community, passed away peacefully at the Life Care Center of Centerville after a short illness on June 20, 2019.
Having been born on February 6, 1917, her stay here on earth was 102 years, 4 months, and 15 days. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Adcox and Nellie Plunkett Adcox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 56 years, Perry Nash, her son James Nash, sisters, Alvida Williams, Alberta Underhill, Annie May Harrington and Margaret Lynn, brothers Harry Adcox, Hermon Adcox, J.W. Adcox, Allin Adcox, and Billy Adcox.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Jerry W. (Marilyn) Nash of Bon Aqua, TN, sister Jean Woods of Huntington, TN and many more relatives and friends.
She was a homemaker for a significant part of her life, but during her early life, she worked as a garment serger for Henry I. Seigel Company in Dickson, TN, as a lunchroom cook at Pinewood Elementary/Jr. High School at Pinewood, and provided childcare services in her home at Pinewood.
During her later years, she quilted and sewed year-round and continued to have a large garden up until she became sick in late May of this year.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pinewood Church of Christ or to the Rwanda/Uganda Mission Fund of the Centerville Church of Christ.
Visitation with the family will be held on 22 Jun 2019, from 11:00 PM – 2:00 PM, at Pinewood Church of Christ, Nunnelly, TN. Funeral Services will be held on 22 Jun 2019, at 2:00 PM at Pinewood Church of Christ. Her funeral will be officiated by her son and Greg McCord. Burial will follow in the Petty Cemetery, Nunnelly, TN.
