Mounce, James Wendell
With a lifelong career as a mechanic and electrician within the Union, James exemplified the values of hard work and expertise. His hands were rarely still, as he found joy in the act of working and the satisfaction of a job well done. Known for his ability to repair the irreparable, James had a generous spirit and a readiness to offer his assistance to all in need.
A devout believer, James’s faith and his family were the cornerstones of his life. His legacy as an organ donor is a testament to his enduring kindness and his commitment to giving.
James’s memory will be cherished by his beloved spouse of 50 years, Barbara Hinson Mounce; his children, James (Tammy) Mounce, Crystal Mounce, and Brandon (Anna) Mounce; sisters Betty Guyzek, Georgia Szlachta, Fran (Jim) Balentine, Sharon (Ronnie) Kilgore, Dorsey (Dario) Donati, and Janie (Jim) Bullock; sister In-Law Pat (Mike) Lividini, and brothers-in-law Larry (Trish) Hinson and Roger (Liz) Hinson; along with his five grandchildren Anthony (Marcus) Martinez Mounce, Josh (Sam) Martinez Mounce, Daniel Martinez Mounce, Hunter Mounce, Dean Mounce, one great-grandchild, nieces & nephews Derek (Tina), Brett, Joe, Amanda & Jen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carvle Jay Mounce and Mary Aletha Stogsdill Mounce.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, TN. A Memorial Service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 PM.
