Helen Louis Hargrave Minyard, former resident of Hohenwald, died January 10, 2002 in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Coffman and Rebecca White Garrett. She was born December 1, 1929 in Athen, Alabama. Survivors include a daughter, Teri Murakami of England; a son, Edward Kolb Minyard, Jr. of Hohenwald; two sisters, Shirley Carroll of Hohenwald and Mary Gibson of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, William White of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Tristen and Danielle Murakami of Houston, Texas; and Raven Minyard of Hohenwald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Edward Kolb Minyard.
