Helen Manshack Rivers Miller, known for her love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 13, 1939, in Ebarb, Louisiana, to the late Amos and Elsie Mae Manshack,
Helen grew up with a zest for life that would become her hallmark. A devoted mother, Helen leaves behind her adoring children: Arlene Rivers, Joy Rivers, Tammy (Mike) Robin, Paula Parker, Ramona McGregor, Jason Rivers, Angela Pennington, and Shane Miller (Brandy). She was a nurturing presence in the lives of her many grandchildren, including Scotty (Jackie), Ingram, Jerry, Lee (Jessica), Colt, Rachel, Sandy, Jessica, Jimmy III, Robert, Tyler, Kristina (Nick), Heather, Justin, Michael, Josh, Scott (Jennifer ) , Jacob, Jaclyn (Steven), Kelly , B.J. (Chelsey), Christopher (Jessica), William (Cami), Lindsey (Chad), David II (Amanda), Michael, Tammy (Jesse), Christian, Stetson, Cameron (Bethany), Landon, Gavin, Taylor, Layla, Salem, Erica, and Chloe. Her legacy extends to her great-grandchildren, Marissa (Michael), Mya, Robbie, Olivia, Helen “K”, Alana, Carter, Kilo, Serena, Troy, Trey, Alyssa, Colton, Laney, Lillie Mae, Paige, Faith, Celeste, Cason, Kerian, Jaycee, Elliana, Taylor, Rayen Blake, Eli, Rowen, Shalyn, Brayden, Jace, Cayley, Brynlee Brantlee, Brycen, Juston (Anna), Taittumn (Coty), Hunter (Kira), Emaleigh, Sydney, Allie, Briley, Logan, Issac, AdaNell, Alyssa, David III, Michael II, Mia, Aubrey, Braxton, Amber, Alayzah, Jacob , Rayne, Titus, Judah, Silas, Ryker, Ellie, and Haven. She also rejoiced in the blessing of her great-great-grandchildren, Remington, Wesson, Ivy, Lakya, Keith, Keanu, Deliah, Khloe, Kaden, and four precious babies on the way.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Elsie Mae Manshack, her siblings, Philip Ebarb Jr; Marie, Roberte, and Doris, her husbands, Jimmy LeRoy Rivers Sr; Dave Miller, her son, Jimmy LeRoy Rivers Jr., and her sons-in-law Donnie McGregor, Bobby Gibson Sr. and Mitchell Parker. Despite these losses, her resilience and capacity for love never waned.
Throughout her life, Helen embraced the role of homemaker with passion and pride with the love for her Savior, Jesus Christ. She created a warm and welcoming home where the Love of Christ and the aroma of her cooking brought comfort, and her sewing and decorating skills made every room a testament to her creativity. Helen’s love for the holidays was contagious, and she bestowed upon her family the gift of traditions. She had a love for thrifting and garage sales she loved collecting all sorts of things. An avid gardener, Helen found joy in the simple pleasures of tending to her plants or a beautiful garden and watching them flourish. Her love for fishing was matched only by her skill as a young woman who was a perfect bowler, and she could often be found on the dance floor, full of life and laughter. Helen’s entrepreneurial spirit shone through when she owned a business with her late husband, demonstrating her ability to balance the demands of family and work with grace. Her caring nature extended beyond her family, as she never met a stranger always had a willingness to help, she touched the lives of many.
Visitation for Helen Manshack Miller will be held in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 PM, with services to begin at 5:00 PM. following a celebration of life at G & M Construction in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee . All are invited to celebrate the life of Helen, Momma, Grandma and Nana too many, so bring a potluck dish and let’s celebrate her life together.
