Published in The Times from Aug. 9 to Aug. 11, 2003: Louise Mercer, age 76. of Munster, formerly of Whiting, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2003 She was the beloved mother of Wanda (Jerry) Hatmaker of Munster, Garry (Susan) Mercer of Beaver Creek, OR and Debbie (Bruce) Fritzsche of Munster; Loving Grandmother of Michael Hatmaker, Michelle (Dan) Bruss, Brandon and Brittany Fritzsche and Jamie and Jason; Dear sister of William (Margie) Hinson of Hohenwald, TN, Lorene (late J.C.) Hinson of Hohenwald, TN, Loudene (late Raymond) Mills of Columbia, TN, Lula Mae (late Jimmy) Hooper of Smyrna, TN and Zula Deputy of Evansville, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday evening, August 10, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, Indiana, with Pastor Warren Zehruny of the Sabbath Church of God of Little Rock, Arkansas, officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Louise Mercer was born on September 27, 1926 in Hohenwald, TN to Wallace and Pearl (Curry) Hinson and was a resident of the Calumet Region for the past 45 years. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God of South Holland. Louise enjoyed country and western dancing with her friends at Spiro’s in Hammond on Saturday nights.
