Clara Sue Gordon McNabb of Centerville, Tennessee, passed away from this life on March 26, 2021. She was 83 years old.

Sue, as she was known by many, lived a long, fulfilling life. She was the epitome of a Christian servant. Sue loved her family, her neighbors, and her friends. She and her late husband, Austin, worked on the family farm for over 50 years. Sue was a skilled homemaker, cook, quilter, gardener, and farmer. There was very little she was not willing to do. Sue was a member of the Coble Church of Christ.

Everyone loved Sue, she had a zest for life that was not equaled by many, and her hearty laughter was contagious.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her husband (Austin), two stepchildren (Barry McNabb and Karen Johnston), and one grandchild (Jade Johnston).

She is survived by two bothers (Billy Joe and Eddie Gordon), one sister (Louise Gordon), daughter-in-law (Susan McNabb), six grandchildren (Beth Nelson, Angie Schindler, Brandyn Gasvoda, Kelsey Johnston, Nicholas McNabb, and Lindsey Bailey), and 10 great-grandchildren.

he family is very thankful for the care she received over the past year as a resident of the Life Care Center in Centerville, TN.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 30 at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville, TN beginning at noon with the service to follow at 2pm. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
