McMullin, Billy R
Billy R. “Tooter” McMullin 53, of Summertown passed from his earthly life August 17,2020. He was born in Lawrence County TN on February 13,1967 to Mrs. Betty Dye Rone and the late Billy Joe McMullin. Pleasant, TN and recently celebrated 32 years of marriage.
Billy owned and operated Poor Boys Taxidermy in Summertown for over 13 years. The craftmanship and attention to detail shown in each of his mounts were indescribable. Tooter loved anything that involved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing when he had the time, but especially loved to deer and turkey hunt. Spending time with his family, more specifically his grandson Aaron and his K-9 companion Brownie was the highlight of his day. There are no words to express how much he meant to his family and how much he will truly be missed.
Along with his wife Debbie, Billy is survived by his grandsons Aaron Dunn and Trenton Clanton; stepson James (Kelly) Dunn; brother Timothy McMullin; sisters Jenny Burns and Eileen “Sissy” Brewer; brother in-laws Doug (Lisa) Sims and Steve (Shannon) Sims; sister in law Patty (Michael) Banks; and several “special cousins”.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Hinestown Cemetery Fund at 106 Hwy 20 Summertown, TN 38483 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
There will be a private family memorial service scheduled at a later date and time.
