McGahey, Beulah Lee
Beulah Lee McGahey was born on February 22, 1939, in Lexington, Henderson Co., Tennessee, and passed away on May 4, 2022, at her home in Lyles, Tennessee. She was 83 years old.
She is the daughter of the late Nathan Branch and Geneva Stanford Branch.
She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler McGahey, and sister, Julie James.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Ray McGahey of Lyles. Daughter, Tammy Patterson (Jeff) of Centerville. Son, Ray McGahey (Lori) of Bon Aqua. Grandchildren, Kyle McGahey (Lisa) of Spring Hill, Dan Nolen of Lyles, Ariel Clark (Andrew) of Jackson, Evan Nolen of Lyles, Samuel McGahey of Bon Aqua, and Zachariah McGahey of Bon Aqua. Great Grandchildren, Ella McGahey, Abigail McGahey, and Asa McGahey. Sister, Zula White of Lexington. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Mrs. McGahey owned her own business for 30 years providing home and business cleaning services. She often times had several employees and served many people throughout the years. She was considered part of many people’s families through her work. She also, for a time, babysat children, many of which became like brothers and sisters to her own kids.
She was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church.
She was an excellent cook and loved to share her talent with others. She always was sure to take meals to shut-ins, the sick, and to bereaved families. She was known to put a little sugar in just about every dish. Her grandchildren loved her spaghetti especially and those she attended worship with always enjoyed her strawberry cake. She also liked to raise flowers and always kept a pretty yard.
Most of all she loved her family. She had a special connection with many of her nieces and nephews and never lost touch with the family she had in Lexington. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she will be deeply missed by them.
Visitation with the family will be May 7, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and May 8, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be May 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
