Wilbern Horner was born in Pleasantville, TN on April 12, 1937 to the late Edna Elizabeth Cross and Herman Benjamin Horner. He passed away on March 17, 2020 at the age of 82.

For 25 years Wilbern worked for the Hickman Farmers Co-op and tended to his own farm. He often remarked that he had sprayed fertilizer on every farm from Pleasantville to Nashville. He had a green thumb and a fondness for gardening. He also had a great love for his church family at Upper Sinking Church of Christ where he spent 48 years as the treasurer. He was also an active member of the Pleasantville Volunteers and he had served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, Wilbern is preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Horner.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Horner of Centerville, TN; son, Brian Horner of Lebanon, TN; daughters, Beth Green (Mark) of Madison, AL and Amy Johnston (Kevin) of Brushy, TN; sisters, Sue Ann Horner, Lois Gilbert (Walter), Hilda Buckingham, and Judy Goodman; and grandchildren, Aislyn Green, Kaylan Green, Devin Johnston, Trey Johnston, and Caden Johnston.

Visitation will be 19 March 2020 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  The Funeral will be held 20 March 2020 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Burial will be at Williams Cemetery, Pleasantville, TN.
