Vaughan, Martha E
Martha Elizabeth Vaughan, of Hohenwald, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 7 in Bremen, GA while visiting family. She was born on June 19, 1926 to the late Joe Rufus Ellis & Martha Ella (Duncan) Ellis.
She worked as a secretary for V&W Ready Mix Concrete for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Plummer Vaughan, in addition to her parents and granddaughter, Heidi Schwendimann Cothran.
Survivors include son, Johnny Vaughan, daughter, Gypsy Jo Schwendimann & husband Gary, daughter, Scarlett Woodall, grandchildren, Poppy Bass, Cassie Schwendimann Fitzgerald, Jade Sampler, Noah Woodall, and Elizabeth Vaughan Carroll, great-grandchildren, Paisley Burklow, Harrison Cothran, Piper Bass, Charlsie Sampler, Brooklyn Carroll, Stephen Nathan Sampler III (Tripp), Lula Jade Sampler, and Zeppelin Vaughan Woodall, and one great-great-grandchild, John A. Horton V (Baby Jay).
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, 10 August 2020, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Lomax Church of Christ, Hohenwald, TN.
Services will be conducted beginning at 1:30 PM at the Lomax Church of Christ with Jeff Spears, Bill Lynch & David Adcox officiating. Russell Cothran will be in charge of the music. Those serving as pall bearers will be Russell Cothran, Harrison Cothran, Matt Burklow, Alan Mathis, Perry Bass & Nathan Sampler.
Entombment in the Swiss Cemetery Mausoleum will immediately follow the service.
