James Owen Deavers of Hohenwald, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 6 at his residence at the age of 80. He was born in Hohenwald on April 28, 1940 to the late Finis Deavers & Edna (Brown) Deavers.

He was a delivery driver before eventually becoming a school bus driver and working for the Lewis County School System for many years. He oversaw the Deavers Family Cemetery and took care of it for many years.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Baggett) Deavers, Son Mike Deavers, Son Timothy Deavers, Son Brian Deavers, Daughter Verlon Whitehead, Step Daughter Sandra Menge, Brother Eddie Deavers, 13 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, 9 May 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Deavers Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
