James Fay Pitts was born April 21, 1938, in Parsons, Tennessee, to the late Loyce Cleven and Ruth Elizabeth Roberts Pitts, and died May 24, 2020, in Linden, Tennessee, at the age of 82 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Pitts, his daughter Patricia Ann Escue and two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Pitts is survived by his wife, Shirley Ruth Garmany Pitts, daughter Brenda (Howard) Holloway, sons Michael (Allene) Pitts and James David (Drema) Pitts, sister Patsy Dacus, and granddaughter Mandy (Christopher) Sarver. In addition, Mr. Pitts is survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-children.

A Graveside Service will be held on 1 June 2020 at 2:00 PM at Lone Chestnut Cemetery, Bath Springs, TN.
