Margaret Helen McCord was born on May 6, 1935, in Lyles, TN, and passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 90 in Centerville, TN.

Mrs. Margaret is the daughter of the late Charlie and Nina McFarlin Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Curtis McCord, brother Elton Johnson, sisters Allene Bush, Thelma Davidson, Geneva Primm, and Lillian Bradford.

Mrs. Margaret leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Terri Hosale, son Curtis “Tony” Anthony McCord, she was loving referred to as MeMe by grandchildren Allison (Thomas) Simpson, Andrew Hosale, Jacob McCord, and Matthew (Brandi) McCord, along with great grandchildren Thomas, Maddie, James and Sarah.

Mrs. Margaret was a woman of quiet strength and great heart. She had room in her heart for everyone who met her by it had a special room for cats. Working at the Centerville Elementary School for 30 years as a secretary she helped many students and teachers alike. She served as a member of the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. More than anything she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother also known as MeMe. During the final years of her husband’s life, she cared for him at home with deep tenderness and patience.

Visitation with the family will be 4 Aug 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be conducted 5 Aug 2025 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Charles L Nickell Memorial Park, Centerville, TN.
