Ernest Buel McCartney, age 82, born June 12, 1922 in Rogersville, Lauderdale Co, AL, died February 27, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, Maury Co, TN. 

The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, March 2, 2005 at 10:00 AM.  The officiating clergy will be Elton Jackson, & Matthew Thigpin.  Burial will take place March 2, 2005 in the Swiss Cemetery Mausoleum, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2005 @ 3:30 PM. 

Survivors include his daughter, Gretchen Woods;  brother, James Franklin McCartney, Jr.;  grandsons, Samuel Franklin  & Daniel Chris Woods;  great-grandchildren, Austin Blake Woods & Hailey Mackienze Woods. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Janie Elizabeth McCartney, and his parents, James Franklin and Katie Viola (McCuen) McCartney.
