Mayberry, Brownie Lee
Brownie Lee (Bates) Mayberry was born on Sulpher, Hickman County, Tennessee November 8, 1922, and passed away on March 28, 2022. She was 99 years old.
She was a beloved Mother, Granny, Memaw, and retired nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Mayberry; parents, David Lon and Sarah Louella Bates; Brothers, Guy Bates, Jim D. Bates, John Lee Bates, and Burnace T. Bates; Sisters, Minnie McClain, Mattie Bates, Annie Loveless, Ina Barber, Pearl Blackwell, and Nettie Loveless; Daughter-In-Law, Kay Mayberry.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Lonnie) Garrett; Sons, Lonnie Mayberry and Tony (Connie) Mayberry; granddaughters, Susan (Ed) Hansberry, and Kelly (Caleb Slack) Mayberry; grandsons, Steve (Melanie) Garrett, David Mayberry, Will (Kendra) Mayberry; Great-Grandsons, Connor Hansberry, Gage Hansberry, Mason Garrett, Evan Garrett, and Gunner Slack; Great-Granddaughter, Brownie Kay Mayberry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hickman County Senior Center, Fay and Doyle Bowen Ball Park, the Camp Meribah Scholarship Fund, or St. Jude’s.
Visitation with the family will be 30 March 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman Coumty. Funeral Services will be held 31 March 2022 at 10:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Breece Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
