Nelda Legrette Cagle Mathis was born on March 4, 1931, and passed away on August 2, 2019, at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Hard Cagle and Gertie Mae Chessor Cagle.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Hollis Mathis and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Dwight Mathis and his wife Barbarette of Winfield, AL; Grandchildren, Melanie Loveless of Hamilton, AL, and Cody (Leah) Mathis of Killen, AL; two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren;   brother, Jerry Cagle of Burns and sister, Ivon Claude of Nashville along with other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Visitation with the family will be held on 4 Aug 2019 at 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral services will be conducted on 4 Aug 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Burial will follow at the Cagle Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
