Asa Robert Martyn was born on May 14, 1985, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and passed away on November 28, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was 37 years old.

He is the son of Irene Terpstra Hudgins and Arthur Francis Martyn.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Hudgins of Lyles, Tn. Brother, Dwayne Hudgins of Lyles, Tn. Sister, Tayla (J.R.) Haddock of Lyles. Nephews, Jordan and Dax. Aunts and Uncles, Chris and Sandie Luna, Lori and Boone Luna, Nancy and Mike Alfane, Diane and Joe Benevento, Laura and Doug Hallam, Amy and Pete Van Helden, John and Louise Terpstra, Charles Terpstra, and Maria Cain. His second family and caretakers for the past seven years, Shontele and Don Lockett. Along with many other cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Asa has worked at Wendy’s in Columbia, TN for the past 12 years. He loved his job there.

He was always happy, full of cheer, polite, and honestly never met a stranger. He had many interests. He like to make music, mostly rap, and was a lyrical genius. He loved movies like Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, and any scary movie. He enjoyed bowling. He was known for “looking fresh” and he enjoyed collecting shoes and watches. Asa loved food, his favorite being an Italian dish called Carbonara. Most of all he loved his family and friends. 

Visitation with the family will be 2 December 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.
