Malone, Timothy Alfred
Timothy Alfred Malone, age 64, husband of Shirley Ruth Harwell Malone, a resident of Culleoka, and a longtime Maury County paramedic, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Tim was born on March 6, 1957, in Newton, New Jersey and was the son of the late Alfred Emile Malone and the late Marjorie Masters Malone Garris. He married Shirley Ruth Harwell on December 4, 1988, was previously a member of Friendship Baptist Church and most recently attended Mooresville Baptist Church. Years ago, Tim owned Cruisers Body Shop and was later self employed in HVAC.
Tim worked many years for Maury County EMS and was also a paramedic in Lewis and Hickman Counties. He lived a life of service. His passion in life was saving the lives of others, and because he was a tissue and cornea donor, he will continue to help others even in death.
An exceedingly intelligent person, Tim worked well with his hands, and if it was broke, he could fix it. You could often find him doing woodwork, working on cars, or searching for interesting finds with his metal detector. In his younger years, he frequently enjoyed taking rides on his motorbike. He had a particular love for his beloved dog, Merle, and above all, he adored being a father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Timothy Brent (Heaven Leigh) Malone of Culleoka; daughter, Marissa (Jesse) Owens of Culleoka; brother, Alfred Emile (Nancy) Malone, Jr. of Centerville; sister, Bridget (Dwight) Vandiver of Culleoka; mother-in-law, Gloria Jean Reese Harwell of Fayetteville; brother-in-law, Baldwin Quaine Harwell, Jr. of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Timothy Gabriel Malone, Dawson Lee Malone, Ellie Frank, Mason Thomas Malone, Madison Rose Malone; nieces and nephews, Tanner (Shelby) Malone, Elizabeth Rose Malone, David Scott (Alicia) Vandiver, Casey (Michael) Roberts, Jennifer (Andy) Roberson, Niki Lee, Tyler Lee, Marcus Malone, and Joshua Malone; and great nieces and nephews, Paisley, Lexie, Austin, Lucas, Amelia, Olivia, Laken Rae, and Maci.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Malone; father-in-law, Baldwin Quain Harwell, Sr.; and treasured Blue Heeler, Hank.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Bob Rush officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery with honor guard provided by the Columbia Fire Department.
