Alfred Obb Maddox, a lifelong resident of Totty’s Bend and retired Ford Glass employee, died Saturday, September 24, 2022, surrounded by his family at Maury Regional Hospital. Alfred, born August 8, 1938, was the son of the late Will Boyd and Elease Fuller Maddox.

His ancestors Maddox, Darden, and Tottys were early settlers in the Totty’s Bend community, the place he loved and called home his entire life. He and his late brothers, J.B. and Ellis, farmed together. Alfred was known for being a generous neighbor and helping his neighbors. He loved helping his Little Lot and Totty’s Bend neighbors truck cattle, and he was well known at the cattle markets. Alfred took exceptional care of his late sister-in-law Ora Lee Maddox. He was a friend to all who knew him. He was a member of the Totty’s Bend Church of Christ. Alfred enjoyed working on his land, visiting with friends and family, and vacationing on the beach.

He is survived by the love of his life, Margaret and his children, Eric (Donna) England, Marty (Jody) England, Lori (Marty) Garrison, Chad England, grandchildren Derek, Miranda, Dallas, Dessi, & Adrianna and great-grandchildren Kaden, Declan, Ezra, & Amos, and his Totty’s Bend neighbors..

Visitation with the family will be September 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and September 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be conducted September 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Totty’s Bend Cemetery, Duck River, TN.
