Lawson, Bradley Jack
Bradley Jack Lawson, known affectionately as Brad to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, in Hohenwald, at the age of 44. Born on February 18, 1980, in Dickson, to parents Steven and Jackie Sealey Lawson, Brad grew up with a zest for life and a contagious smile that would light up any room.
Brad’s early years in Hohenwald were filled with the love and fun from his family, including his brother Rook Lee Lawson and his wife Marie McNally Lawson, his half-sisters Mia Monroe, Madison Shelton, and Megan Eaton, and his cherished nieces Ava, Alexis, Olivia, and Raegan Lawson. He will also be carried on in memory by his daughter Rory Hensley and special friend Jodie Runions.
Dedicated to serving his community, Brad built a respected career as an Investigator with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department. His commitment to his work was unwavering, often extending his service beyond the clock. Colleagues and friends alike will remember him not only for his professionalism but also for his ability to make anyone smile, even in the toughest of times. Continuing to serve his community, he also served with the Hohenwald Fire Department for 12 years alongside his father.
Brad’s interests were as varied as they were passionate. An avid outdoorsman, he found peace and joy in hunting and fishing and took pride in adding to his impressive gun collection. But above all, his love for family stood paramount. Brad’s presence at family gatherings was a source of laughter and warmth, his great sense of humor a hallmark of every encounter.
His ability to connect with people, to share a joke, and to spread kindness was truly remarkable. These traits not only made him an excellent investigator but also a beloved figure in the community.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Lomax Church of Christ. He was laid to rest at Salem Church Cemetery.
Brad’s legacy is one of laughter, friendship, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. Rest in peace, Brad, knowing that your life was a gift to us all.
