Edith Marie Lankford, age 95, of Hohenwald, died Tuesday , February 24, 2004, at Lewis County Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 27, 2004, 11:00 AM graveside in Swiss Cemetery. L.C. Loveless will officiate. Survivors include a sister Nina Bennett of Hohenwald, two nephews, Ben Lankford of Hohenwald and Jim Lankford of Winston, GA. One niece, Pattie Davis of Hohenwald. Great nieces and nephews include Mike Lankford of Winston, GA, Chris Lankford of Billarica, GA, Laura Jane Joy of Winterville, GA, and Mark Garner of Graham, NC. Also 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Ms. Lankford was born March 14, 1908 in Hohenwald, TN. She is the daughter of the late Enos “Squire” Hickman and Laura Baker Lankford. She worked for Sears in the Real Estate Division, Atlanta Office, for fifty years. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Lankford and three sisters, Freda Garner, Ruby Willingham and Eva Lankford.
