Ben was a simple man with a heart deeply rooted in the soil of his family’s century farm, established in 1846. As a fifth-generation farmer, he devoted his life to tending the land with the wisdom and traditions passed down through the years. Growing up on a farm, Ben had a deep love for all animals, but nothing compared to his love for horses.

In addition to his parents, Hubert and Helen, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Lankford, and his nephew, Mike Lankford.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sister, Pattie Lankford Davis; sister-in-law, Betty Lankford; nephew, Chris Lankford (Rene); great-nephews, Jackson Lankford (Carol), Carter Lankford (Rebekah); great-nieces, Danielle Lankford and Daylyn Lankford; along with other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation with the family will be 4 Feb 2025 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County. Funeral services for Mr. Lankford will begin at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.
