Kenneth Bryan Lane, 85, of Crestwood, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Friendship Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Friday, October 9 at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Kentucky. Burial was at Portland Memorial Gardens in Portland. Mr. Lane was a distinguished Army veteran of World War II, having earned five bronze campaign stars, including the Normandy Invasion Campaign. He was the General Chairman of B.R.A.C., and a deacon of Ballardsville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Winnie Johnson Lane; three sons, Bryan Lane (Julia) of Hohenwald, David Lane (Jan), and Danny Lane (Sharon), both of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Ellen Lane Lawson (Jackie) of Columbia; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
