Deborah Sue “Debbie” Lancaster, born June 6, 1952 passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Debbie graduated from Hickman County High School in 1970, where she was actively involved in band, and forged life-long friendships, she was also an active member of the Centerville Church of Christ Youth Chorus.

Debbie attended David Lipscomb College, Memphis State University, and the Jacksonville School of Court Reporting. She returned to Nashville in 1976 where she enjoyed a successful career as a court reporter, and was actively involved in NAWBO (National Association of Womens Business Owner), and the Lowes Bend Cemetery Board, where her sister and grandparents are buried. She was a baptized believer in Christ. 

She is survived by her father, Edd (Nancy) Lancaster, mother, Bette Lancaster, brother, Steven (Dena) Lancaster, brother-in-law, Richard Smith, nieces, Rachel, Erin, Susan, April, Shelia and nephews, David, and Charlie Smith, along with many other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on 5 May 2019, from 3:00 AM – 6:00 PM and 6 May 2019 from 12 Noon – 1:00PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be held on 6 May 2019 at 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Burial will follow in the Lowes Bend Cemetery, Hickman Co, TN. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Memory of Debbie to the charity of your choice.
