Kirby, Ralphard Wayne
Ralphard Wayne “Skip” Kirby, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on September 16, 2023, in Columbia, TN. Born on November 16, 1960, in Danville, Illinois, Skip was a beacon of creativity and love throughout his life.
Skip was the beloved husband to Alisa McCann Kirby for 32 beautiful years. Together they raised a wonderful family, which included their children Keila Kirby of Linden, Bria Kirby, Sacha Hinson, and Clesha Seiber all of Hohenwald. Skip was a devoted grandfather to Amaya, Annabelle, Damien, and Domonic Seiber, Jett and Jerzye Hinson, Jaxson Smith, Linkin Harper, Logan Thomas, and Daxton Kirby. He was also a cherished brother to Mary Adams and Jennifer Parker. Skip was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Rosemary Kirby, and his brothers William and Gregory Beavers. He will be greatly missed by his several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and generosity.
Skip was a dedicated employee at Wedlake Industries, where he applied his eye for detail and his commitment to hard work.
Skip had an array of interests that showcased his creative side. He was a talented knife maker and woodworker, crafting beautiful pieces that reflected his unique artistic vision. His love for nature was evident in his collection of flat rocks from the riverbed, each one holding a special memory of days spent outdoors. He was a true fan of local Lewis County football games, always cheering from the stands. His favorite days were spent at the creek, surrounded by the tranquility of nature and the laughter of his family.
But above all, Skip will be remembered for his love for his family and his grandchildren. He was the heart of every family gathering, his laughter and stories filling the room. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Skip Kirby was a man of many passions, but his love for his family was his driving force. He was a creative soul, always finding beauty in the world around him and sharing it with those he loved. His memory will live on in the beautiful pieces he crafted, in the love he had for his family, and in the joy, he found in life’s simple pleasures.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
