Lorene Virglyn Romine Kilpatrick died Wednnesday, November 26, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She was 78. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2003, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home. Artie Collins, Elton Jackson and Patrick Hogan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Springer Cemetery. Survivors include one brother, Lonnie Romine of Nashville. Also several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kilpatrick, born March 25, 1925, was the daughter of the late William and Katie White Romine. She was the wife of the late Ollie Kirk Kilpatrick who proceeded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janie McCartney and Bessie Tatum. Mrs. Kilpatrick attended the Springer Church of Christ. Before retirement she worked at Henry I Siegels, Genesco and Dana Corporation. Visitation will begin at 3:30 PM on Friday, November 28, 2003.
