Charles Frederick Kidd, McLeansville, North Carolina, died Thursday, August 8, 2002 at his home. The funeral was held Sunday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home with Paul Spears officiating. Burial was in the Swiss Cemetery. Mr. Kidd, 64, was the son of the late James Olin and Zula Truett Kidd. He was born January 22, 1938 in Lawrence County. A graduate of Lewis County High School, he was a United States Navy Veteran and he was employed at Zelocity Express. Survivors include three sons, Jim Kidd of Dyersburg, Bruce Kidd of Piedmont, Alabama, and Bryan Kidd of McLeansville, North Carolina; a daughter, Carol Smith of Dyersburg; a brother, James W Kidd of Sparta; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
