In the morning hours of September 9, 2022, Mr. Larry Wayne Jones peacefully passed away at his Hohenwald home surrounded by family at the age of 63. Larry was born in Maury County on January 27, 1959, to Mr. Wayne Oakley and Frances Dale Jones.

Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife Mrs. Anita Jones, his brother Tommy Dale, and his sister Brenda King.

He leaves behind to continue his memory his daughter Angie (James) Morris; stepchildren Robert (Heather) Hinson and Harvey (Merissa) Hinson; his sibling Stevie Jones; grandchildren Sofia, Hagen, Brodie, and Emersyn Hinson, and Jayme Smith; great granddaughter Ava Jaymes Smith; and his nephew Thomas (Megan) Dale.

Mr. Jones was a member of Brace Baptist Church in Summertown, TN. He was seen as a jack of all trades but specialized in mechanics. Larry enjoyed repairing cars and has even built dirt track race cars throughout the years. Whenever someone needed anything fixed, he was your man. If he couldn’t fix it than no one could. When he wasn’t under the hood of a car he enjoyed quiet moments of working in his yard or camping.

The family will host friends and relatives for visitation on Sunday September 11, 2022, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 am on Monday September 12, 2022, at Downey Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN with Brother Jason Davis officiating.
