Ruby Pauline Melson Sims Johnson, age 75, of Hohenwald, was pronounced dead on arrival at Perry Community Hospital in Linden on Friday, December 19, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 21, 2003, 2:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Richard Tate will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kittrell Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Howard Johnson, three sons, Vic Sims of Hohenwald, Jimmy Sims of Hickory N.C. and Bobby Sims of Memphis. Also a sister, Hattie Mae Herston of Sheffield AL. A special friend Betty Leigh of Hohenwald. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her first husband, Turner Sims. She was born May 12, 1928. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cecil & Minnie Warren Melson. She was an employee of H.I.S.
