Barry Stephen Jenkins Sr. was born in Lebanon, Tennessee on June 10, 1953. He passed away at his home in Okeechobee, Florida on February 9, 2023. He was 69 years old.

He is the son of the late Wilbur Ferrell Jenkins and Sybil Louise Knight Jenkins and was raised in Hickman County, Tennessee.

He was also preceded in death by his son Barry “BJ” Stephen Jenkins Jr.

He is survived by his grandson Barry Stephen Jenkins III of Adolphus, Kentucky. Brothers Ronald (Vicki) Jenkins of Centerville and Ricky (Laura) Jenkins of Walland, Tennessee. Sisters Cheryl Mathis of Nashville, Tennessee, and Judy (late Jerry) Hankins of Duck River, Tennessee. The mother to his son Carolyn Jenkins of Columbia, Tennessee. Along with many other cousins, relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Mr. Jenkins worked for Clayton Homes as a manager for over 30 years. After retirement he moved to Florida where he could enjoy the outdoors, and eating oysters.

In keeping with Barry’s wishes he was cremated and his remains will be laid to rest at the Stand Cemetery in Duck River at a family graveside service.
