Jerome Leon James age 79 of Centerville, Tennessee passed away from this life on Friday, March 22, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. James was born November 10, 1939 in Hohenwald, Tennessee the son of JC and Mary Willis James. He was a country music singer all his life, recording music with many talented artists. He is survived by his companion, Lois Ann James; his children, Deborah VanGordon (Daniel), Kimberly Sue Rose (Tracy), Bradley Leon James (Donna), Christian Todd James, Sheila Denise Word (Rick); one sister, Linda Carroll Zaricor; seven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services were held April 6, 2019 at Oakwood Cemetery.
