Bobby Charles James was born in Nunnelly, TN on May 28, 1932 to the late Jimmie Lea Connelly and Columbus Beverly James. He passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 89 years, 7 months, and 6 days. He was a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ, an alcohol and drug abuse counselor for the TVA, and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Hannah James; sister, Barbara White; and brothers, Bill James and Britt James. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Ammons James; son, Jamie James (Rhonda); step-son, Bill McKinney (Lisa); sister, Brenda Robinson (Grant); grandson, Jordan James (Jeanie); great-grandsons, Easton James and Elliot James; step-granddaughters, Katie Pacheco (Nathan) and Cardin McKinney; and step-grandson, Ammon McKinney (Chelsea).

A funeral service for Bobby Charles James will be held on Saturday, 8 Jan 8 2022 at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. A visitation with the James family will be held on Friday, 7 Jan 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
