Annie Laura Hunt, age 96, a former resident of Duck River in the Anderson Bend Community passed away on June 15, 2024, at the Bridge Assisted Living in Columbia.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the Stephenson-Anderson-Hunt Cemetery at the Hunt Farm, which is located across from Anderson Bend Church of Christ on Little Lot Road. Bill McDonald will be officiating.

Annie Laura was born on January 12, 1928, to the late Eva and Hollis Ballard. She married George Elton “Cap” Hunt in 1945 and they spent the next 69 years together, until he passed away in 2015. Her sister Martha Huggins also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three children: daughter, Marsha Hunt Douglass and her husband Rodger; son, Roger Hunt and wife Karen all of Duck River; and daughter, Tammy Hunt Franklin and her husband Ed of Dandridge, TN. Her three grandsons, Mike Douglass, Ross Hunt, and Zach Moss and her granddaughter Heather Douglass. There are five great grandchildren.
