Alfred Hickman Huggins, 405 South Court Street, died Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Lewis County Manor. He was 73. The funeral was held Monday, September 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. t McDonald Funeral Home with Glen Floyd, pastor of Freedom Holy Temple officiating. Burial was in the Swiss Cemetery. Mr. Huggins was the son of the late Desmon and Pauline Pennington Huggins, born November 6, 1928 in Lawrence County. He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired merchant of retail sales. He is survived by a son, Chris Huggins of Hohenwald; two step-sons, Mike Middleton of Hohenwald, and Terry Middleton of West Haven, Florida; a step-daughter, Brenda Horner of Hohenwald; five sisters, Ruth Craig, Ruby Belew, Agnes Holden and Mary Helen Garrett of Hohenwald, and Joan Brewer of Columbia; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Huggins.
