Hinson, Vince Wymer
Mr. Vince Wymer Hinson, age 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was born on May 5, 1963, to Raymond and Kathleen Hinson, at the Boyce Clinic in Hohenwald, Tennessee.
Vince’s work ethic was unlike any other. He dedicated over 30 years working as an HVAC repairman. Following that, he has been a hardworking employee at the Lewis County School System.
To know Vince was to love him. His dedication, love, and passion for his family and friends were evident in every aspect of his life. Helping others was his passion, and he found joy in being surrounded by those he loved. Family and friends were his world. He enjoyed fishing and birdwatching from his front window, the calmness of the ocean, cheering on the TN Vols, and discussing politics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Hinson and Terry (Red) Hinson; his sister, Wilma Tatum; his daughter, Felisha Hinson Boord; and his granddaughter, Kenley Boord.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife Dolores Hinson, whom he often referred to as “his bestest buddy”. He also leaves behind children: Brandy (Robbie) Hooks, Michael (Sasha) Hinson, and Faira (John) Oliver.
Vince was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Tyler (Sarah), Braxton, Dylan, Emily, Brylee, Emily, Katelyn, Dawson, Natalie, Brooklyn, Elizabeth and Lincoln. He also had the privilege of being a great-grandfather to two great-grandsons, Miles and Luka.
He is also survived by his brothers, Ronald and Billy (Debbie) Hinson; and his sisters, Wanda Seiber and Darlene (Kenneth) Pope.
Visitation with the family will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Pastor David Grimes and Pastor Dale Floyd will be officiating the service immediately following visitation. Burial will be held at the Oliver Family Cemetery, Linden, TN.
