Hinson, Richard C
On Saturday September 19, 2020, Mr. Richard Coleman Hinson went to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 83. He was born April 9,1937 in Linden, TN to the late Leslie and Macil Hinson. Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his siblings, Martha Hensley, Audria Hensley, Kenneth Hinson, Shirley Roberson, Donald Ray Hinson, and Jerry Hinson.
In 1965, he married Mrs. Marilyn Peevyhouse in Centerville and together raised two wonderful children. Mr. Hinson made a lifelong career working as a Hilo driver for Ford Glass Plant in Nashville and a member of the United Auto Workers Union before retiring with 41 years of service. After retirement, Richard enjoyed getting his hands dirty working and tending his garden along with his wife. He was an avid crappie fisherman. On Sunday mornings he could be found leading the choir at Living Water Ministries. He loved spending time at his home in Burns, TN with his great-grandchildren. R.C. never met a stranger and his smile could brighten even the darkest of days. He was loved by many and words cannot describe how much he will be missed.
Along with his loving wife of 54 years Marilyn Hinson, he is survived by a son Robert Russell (Burns, TN); a daughter Kim Hinson (Burns, TN); sisters Opal Robertson and Joy (Allen) Kerns; Step-Mother Hessie Hinson; 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
