Eddie Collins Herring, age 76, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home in Hohenwald.  Funeral services were held Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Brent Landers, pastor of General Assembly and Church of the First Born, officiating. Interment followed in the Holder Cemetery in Linden.  Mrs. Herring was born May 13, 1934 in Perry County to the late John Will and Lillie Carter Landers. She was a nurse at the Lewis County Hospital.  Survivors include three sons, Robert Collins (Sandra) of Hohenwald, Claudie Collins (Lorie Lynn) of Dickson, Tim Collins (Patsy) of Dyer; three daughters, Debbie Cotham (Dwight) of Columbia, Pam Bailey (Bud) of Mt. Pleasant and Kim Salcido (Eddie) of Claremore, Oklahoma; two brothers, J. B. Landers of Hohenwald and W. C. Landers of Linden; two sisters, Dean Holder of Trenton and Lona Powell of Ethridge; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Herring and a sister, Netta Davis.
