Hensley, Melody Lynn
Melody “Tiny” Lynn Hensley, a beautiful woman of love and joy, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Nashville, TN, at the age of 53. Born on September 28, 1971, in Lawrenceburg, TN, Tiny was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her infectious laughter and boundless kindness left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Tiny was the loving daughter of Shirley Ann Hunter Conner and the late Donald O’thell Conner. Her vivacious spirit was a testament to the love and care she received from her family throughout her life. On June 20, 1992, she married her husband, Mike Hensley, and together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. They were blessed with four wonderful children: Faith Hensley (Dillon Grillo), Drake Hensley, Hunter Hensley, and Robert Hensley.
Tiny’s role as a mimi to Ryder Grillo was one of her greatest joys. She captured every precious moment with her camera, creating a treasured trove of memories that will continue to bring smiles for generations to come. Her sister, Jane (Tracy) Bain, shared in the many adventures and laughter that defined Tiny’s life. Tiny also held a special place in her heart for her niece, LeLe (Michael) Hughes, and her great-nieces and nephews, Jaxen, Harper, and Emma Kate, who will miss her deeply.
An avid photographer, Tiny had a passion for capturing the essence of life through her lens. She found beauty in the everyday and had the unique ability to see the world in a way that others might miss. Mowing her lawn to perfection, spending time with her grandbabies, fishing, boating, and floating the river were among her favorite pastimes. The beach held a special place in Tiny’s heart, and she always encouraged friends and family to write their names in the sand and send her a snapshot, a simple act that brought her immense joy.
Visitation with family and friends will begin at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025, in the Chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, with Brothers Kyle Conner and Robin Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Baugus Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
Tiny’s presence was a source of comfort and happiness. She was a woman of extraordinary kindness, and those who were fortunate enough to know her will remember her as loving, funny, and kind.
It is only fitting that we close with a line that showed the love she had for everyone she met and they were sure to know how loved they were. In the words of Tiny herself “I LOVE YOU ONE MORE”
