Hensley, James Leslie
James Leslie Hensley, 88, of Hohenwald, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at his home here in Hohenwald. He was born on April 7, 1932, to Jones and Lula Hensley here in Lewis County. He was a self-employed mechanic for most of his career. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Jane (McDonald) Hensley until she died in 2018.
He is survived by his daughter, Elaine (John L.) Churchwell, of Hohenwald, his grandson, Brandon (Rebecca) Taylor, of Lawrenceburg, and 6 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Colt, Luke, David, Levi, and Jessica Taylor.
Along with his wife, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Whitehead, and siblings, Hubert Hensley, Eugene Hensley, Billy Hensley, Ozella Foley, Pearl Carroll, Susie Sims, Mary Ruth McFall, and Bernice Hensley.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 10:00 in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens. Dwayne Sparks will officiate.
