Jamie Wayne Harder Services for Jamie Wayne Harder, age 65, of Waynesboro, were held Friday, November 6, 2009, 1:00 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro. Greg Eaton officiated with burial in Throgmorton Cemetery in Wayne County. Born April 22, 1944 in Hohenwald, Mr. Harder died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was a son of the late Carlos James and Cyrena Hickerson Harder of Hohenwald. Mr. Harder was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army from 1965-1967 and the Tennessee Army National Guard from 1981-2002. He was employed at Wayne Medical Center as a medical laboratory manager and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Shirley Walker Harder; a son, Brett Harder and wife Patsy, all of Waynesboro; daughter, Natasha Harder of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two grandchildren; a brother, Buddy Harder of Linden; and two sisters, Imodean Clay of Chattanooga, and Sue Hurt of Hohenwald. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harder was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Casteel.
