Minor Brooks Hanes, of Primm Springs, died December 12, 2021, at the age of 82 years. Mr. Hanes was born in the Leatherwood Community of Hickman County, Tennessee, on February 11, 1939, to the late Hattie Davis and Conner J. Hanes.

Mr. Hanes is survived by his wife, Reesie Lee Rochelle Hanes, sons, Norman (Debby) Hanes, Gary (Keri) Hanes, Jason (Holly) Hanes, and Stephen (Julie) Hanes, and eight grandchildren, Gracie, Isaiah, Josie, Dalton, Josey, Conner, Brooks, and Lane. Mr. Hanes is also survived by his sisters, Imogene Rye, Joyce Carpenter, and Dell Hines and brothers, Oneil Hanes, Arnold Hanes, and Aaron Hanes.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hanes was preceded in death by his sister. Katherine Hanes and brothers, Keith Hanes and Arthur Hanes.

Mr. Hanes was a veteran of the United States Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Visitation with the Hanes family will be Tuesday, 14 Dec 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be held on 15 Dec 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with Gary Hanes and Wilson Jenkins officiating.  Burial will follow in New Antioch Cemetery, Lyles, TN with military honors.
