Halfacre, Kitty Rhea
Kitty Rhea Blackwell Halfacre passed peacefully at Hope Wing of The Centerville Life Care Center on Sept. 17, 2019. She was born on Oct 20, 1954 to Dr. James C. and Bonnie Blackwell of Centerville who preceded her in death.
She is survived by husband Tony Lee Halfacre, two stepchildren, Bryan and Cara Halfacre; sisters, Linda Coffey, Yvonne Craig, and brother, Tim Blackwell, as well as two nieces, two nephews, and eight great-nieces and nephews.
At age 45 she met Tony, the love of her life, who never left her side, and tenderly cared for her during the long tenure of her illness. They had previously enjoyed many years of an active lifestyle including running, bicycling, and playing tennis. Kitty’s smile was ever-present and bestowed gladly on all she saw. She was a life-time resident of Centerville and a dental hygienist for thirty years. Kitty dearly loved her community, her church, her friends, and all neighborhood animals.
She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ where a Celebration of Life will be held Sat., Nov. 2, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of the church.
Kitty’s family greatly appreciates all the kind expressions of love and prayers throughout her long extended illness and at her passing.
